I don't have a proportioning valve. The discussion was about using a 98 valve
from a zj. You told me you had 3 and what color would like. Cruiser recommended gutting the valve, and getting rid of the parts you sent me.
Do you or do you not have the proportioning valve he recommended, and what I thought you were sending.
Dennis .

Why don't you have a proportioning valve? Originally Posted by ocs1667

My recommendation was to swap the "guts" from Big David with the "guts" from your original prop valve.
Cruizer I thought you recommended using proportioning valve from a 98 zj and guting it.
Are you saying now that I can use the 89 xj valve and replace existing parts with the parts Dave sent me..

I hate to say this, but after I read all the information I missed it. I was sure you
needed a 98 valve and you gutted it. Especially when David asked me if I wanted a green or red one.
Thank you both again for putting up with me.

Big David & Cruiser. I can't thank you both enough. Just finished the brake project. It took me a little over 2.5 hours. It stops on a dime and gives me 9 cents change. I took a country road home, it took me 30 minutes instead of the usual 15 minutes. Reason for this I kept hitting the brakes all the way home coming to panic stops, and slowing down. I felt like a kid in candy store.
This upgrade is up there with the Chevy V8 install. One of the best upgrades.
Thank you again for all the your information and parts.
