So i bought a 89xj while outta town working with out seeing it other then some photos that were apparently yrs ago. From what i seen and minimal info given i orderee a 6.5inch long arm lift kit from rough country. I just got it today andnim worried that its not any bigger then what on the jeep now. Can anyone give me tips of how i can figure that out without having to take everything off and reinstall the new stuf
and or tell me what you size lift mite be on it roughly from the picture

It looks like you're right around 6-6.5 now... But there's no control arm drop kit and the angle of the lower control arms look like some problems waiting to happen with the road manners.. The long arm kit will be an upgrade from whats on the front now..

 

^^ exactly this ^^ regardless of what actual lift height is on there now, your long arm kit you bought is well deserved for the height your going for. I would look at this in the way of - your new kit goes on and then sell the old setup complete and as is for some extra build $
