Default bolting on new winch bumper

I just finished building a winch bumper. can I use the clip nuts and bolts that held the factory bumper on? at least until I can get some grade 8 hardware?

Also make sure that you use at least 5 bolts on each frame rail!
Check out JCR Offroads XJ Crusader Uniframe brackets, if you don't want to buy them, build yourself something like them.

Yep, you can use those to hang it there, but that's all. You need to tie it into the structure more before doing any recovery at all with it. You'd be up the creek if you tore the end of your unibody frame rail off!

Or at least you'd have a larger project at that point...

Got any pics of your bumper?

you spent all that time making a bumper, then bolted crappy hooks to it? why not weld some d-ring tabs on?
