I really doubt that... I mean it would have rubbed even in a straight line...

on 3" of lift I rubbed VERY minor turns on the front

and the rear would rub if I flexed it just a little bit...

looking at that picture that is at least a 2" lift...

I mean here is a 3" lift with 33s and stock flares... looks about like your buddy's Jeep as far as clearance goes...

If you don't mind doing 100 point turns to change lanes, you could trim and run 50" tires

I believe you could run 31"s, but your going to have trim to be able to drive it normally. Othing you could go with 30"s with minimal trimming.

Finally some sence...

Rule of thumb...(and please corect me if im wrong) for no trimming.
31/10.5x15 with 4" backspace rims.. 3" lift

32/11.5 x 15 with 4 " back space rims....4.5 " lift.. Maybe some bump stopping(depend on the rubber)

33/12.5x15 with 4" back space rims 4.5" and fender cutting, bump stopping, ect........

saddest part is that my jeep is on stock suspension too. I've just spent a week reading the boards and I've already found out the limitations
