Im in OH so I know what you mean as far as weather. My friend runs KM2s on his Wrangler all year 'round and loves them in any situation he may come across.

Having lived in Indiana, and having had BFG's under my rig, go for the BFG's. Have them siped (machine siping, in addition to the molded siping that comes with the tire) for gecko-like traction.

BFG's on my 94 Chevy S10, everything stock, would push snow up over the hood.

Those BFG A/T's seem to be pretty good in snow for whatever reason. One of the few terrains I really recommend them. Personally in that price category though I really like the Duratracs. It's more of a Hybrid than a AT or MT for comparison.

I have only used the all terrain on my dodge diesel but they are a great tire. Work very well in the snow. They were 315/70/17 so they liked to try and stay on top if the snow, then dig in and sink to bite. But they always went.
My km2's on the Cherokee are the same size essentially and from the ing storm we've had they also seem to work very well. Good side stability and great traction.
Either tire would be good, but I would say the km would be better in deep or loose snow.

X2

Duratracs are designed to be good at pretty much everything except rock crawling and horendous mud. They are actually able to more than hold their own against many snow tires. I haven't personally owned a set yet, still waiting for my Yokohama ATS's to run down some more, which when machine siped were outstanding in my book.

Ive had the BFGs and my dad has ran them on alot of his vehicles. Used to plow snow like a boss with them no probs at all. But ive also heard very good things about the duratracs. They look pretty bada$$ too with the tread on the sidewalls. IMO id go BFGs from my experience i know how they are. Im pretty much in kahoots as to which one im going to run as well these 2 are my only choices ill run. Likely to stick with the BFGs tho

Have you ever run the KM2s?

Doesn't BFG make both?

I ran the ATs on my old Toyota. They were OK, didn't especially impress me. I'm running Dueller Revos right now but will be putting them on my wifes truck as soon as I can afford the KM2s. New tires just aren't in the budget right now.

The Walmart brand?

Pretty limited tire sizes, if I'm not mistaken.

They come in 33s?

I was going to go with the all terrains til I hear they didn't clean themselves well. Went with Grabber AT2's.

Yes the ones exclusive to Walmart.
I checked em out last time I wad there. Were pretty nice. I've heard good things about them.
Sizes are limited. But the 31x10.5x15 are $150/each. Comes out to like $635 installed.
A friend of mine just bought a set of older model wrangler mtr's in that same size for $90/each from discount tire. Must have been old stock. They are awesome in the snow.

I looked at them for my wifes truck. The sidewalls are really thin and flexible.

And, IIRC, no 33s or 35s.
