The BFG A/T's are known for being good in snow, no experience with the KM2's but keep in mind that while an MT tread might give good traction on loose snow off road, a lot of MT's are usually not so great for hard packed snow or snowy roads due to a lack of siping. There are a few exceptions such the Duratracs (because they do have siped tread), I've heard great things about those for snow too.

Good point, that occurred to me but I don't know much about adding siping to tires. So it really makes a big difference? My BFG A/T's have additional siping that the previous owner had done. I haven't run them in snow yet but they do seem great in the rain.

I will tell you this, in my MANY years with the US Air Force as a Vehicle Mechanic I have seen every type of weather and terrain, and our HMMWVs travel them all. We have been using Goodyears for quite some time now, used to run the old school US military Goodyear mudders and have since switched to Gen I MTRs which I also run on the wife's XJ for their durability and ability to handle everything out there. Thats my opinion and I am sticking with it.
I'll let you know after a few hours how the bfg will do in snow compaired to the dura. My rig has bfg and my friends has the duras and in a dew hours we going to go have some fun in the snow. Will post update after it's all done

I have run both the A/T's and KM2's. IMO, there is no comparison. The A/T's do well in light snow but if it starts to get deep they pack with snow and you might as well be running slicks because they don't clean out. The KM2s clean out very well and can dig down to solid ground in "shallow" snow or be aired down to float on deeper stuff.

I was running 10 psi in this pic. Snow was knee-waist deep is several places. KM2s FTW!

But I'm assuming your talking about the BFG ATs, and not the KM2s.

My BFG A/T's didn't give me any problems driving to work in 5 inches of snow on top of ice.. (I was out before the plows). The only time I had a traction problem was accelerating from a stop, but putting it in 4 high quickly solved that issue completely.
