I can't help it that I am getting older and live in a country that has to deal with snow no matter how close you live to the southern border. I also have a typo up there it is 34 years I have been a licensed driver not 44
No need to make myself ten years older than I actually am
I should go fix that

But the price, with shipping for both front and back is so cheap I might as well do them both at the same time
Aussie and Lokka locker are the same thing, or so they were till 2012. The ones made on Rochester are about $50 more each. I am guessing the price difference is for licensing/patent fees. Even though Rochester NY is only about 230 mile from me I would rather have that extra $100 in my pocket

Just wanted to clarify a few things. Aussie and Lokka are not the same thing. Torq-Masters Industries owns Aussie Locker and has no affiliation with Lokka.
We moved our manufacturing to the USA in 2012 due to quality and inventory availability issues with our Australian manufacturer. Once in the US, our Manufacturing and Engineering team made adjustments to our original 2003 designs to account for any issues that came up over the years. Basically, the entire Aussie Locker line received a tune up for better fitment and performance and since then we've received excellent reviews. We are committed to bring high quality products, Made in the USA, with excellent customer service. Torq-Masters Industries has some exciting news coming this spring, can't wait to share with you guys.
Please feel free to PM or email me any questions.
Thanks!
Cora
if the concern is for ice/ snow driving , leave the front open & a rear locker will work well. but drive carefully w/ that rear locker on ice/ snow it will come around on you real quick. i have a detroit locker rear & a e-locker front , snow driving on the street i never lock the front, just dont need it. front lockers are for offroad use & most of time offroad my front is unlocked so i can steer . only lock it when i really need true 4wd.

Hey Aussie Locker, welcome to Cherokee Forum. It's great to have you on here and I think I can safely say we all look forward to hearing more from you about Aussie Lockers.
Hi Folks, Aussie Locker here.

I think one of the worst things you could do for driving on snow and ice would be to put an auto locker in the rear. In my previous post I suggested open front and Limited Slip in the rear, I think the Limited Slip in the rear is still a good idea but for off road use put a locker in the front. Even an Auto Locker in the front would be ok because it only engages when in 4wd and under torque, otherwise it acts like an open differential.
Just for the record I have no problems driving in the snow and ice with the open diffs. I grew up with it and learned how to drive in it over my 34 years as a licensed driver. The only time I have used 4wd was to get moving before I replaced the tires that came with the Jeep. I am more looking to improve the offroad performance without hurting the winter/street driving too much.
I had never heard of Lokka before. Talk about inexpensive. Just over $400 USD for both
That is cheap enough that I may just buy them to try them out and if I don't like them I can always put the open diff guts back in. Add in the free shipping to Canada it almost makes it a lock
(pun intended)

Thanks for the welcome!
I'll be looking for advice from you guys soon, we recently purchased a 2001 Cherokee to test a new line of lockers currently in R&D. I'm thinking a mild lift and 33's later in the year.

Hey I started the thread if any one gets them it should be me

i would have to be absolutely honest and admit that I wouldn't be able to test them to their fullest. I would be able to test them for DD and lighter trail use

Well I know where to look for test vehicles now
We currently have our Dana 30 prototypes in a number of vehicles right now. When I start testing the C8.25 and Dana 35's I'll be looking for more volunteers.
Thanks!

Well if I haven't purchased something by then keep me in mind for a 8.25. Actually if I have purchased something it would be a great chance for me to do a direct back to back comparison.
