Default Bendix Break Replacement

I have a '91 Limited with the POS Bendix ABS system. It is not working. I have to stomp the pedal pretty hard to get any breaks at all. I want to remove and replace the whole system with a standard booster/master cylinder setup. Does anybody know of any write-ups on how to do this swap. Thanks

Its a pretty straight forward deal. Unbolt/remove your Bendix system and install the new vacuum system. There's a port on the intake manifold under the throttle body for you to run the vacuum hose to. Good luck.

Isn't there specific years of donor vehicles? I remember reading something about the rod length and other things in specific years of vehicles. And that you have to use the front break lines from donor vehicle? I wish I could find that write up. Shoulda bookmarked it.

Find a 92 model as a doner and take everything you think you may need. There is a recall for the Bendix9 system, it's the 702 recall.

Yes there is! Use the booster and master cylinder from 1995 or 1996 models. Theyre the easiest to bolt in and come with the dual diaphragm upgrade.
