Default beefed up electrical system

OK, on my rig I have 0 gauge in engine bay and Ive yet to do the engine ground though. Where is a good place to upgrade that wire? Ive already done the battery ground and charging wires. I also have a 0 gauge run to the back from when I had my sub in the jeep, should I leave that run in? could it come in handy with any lights or anything like that? I know it would be enough wire, but I cant imagine much on a offroading rig drawing so much to necessitate 0 gauge wire.

I just removed the stock ground wires and put the bigger wires right back to the stock locations..

What's the point to going a bigger gauge wire when they came like that from the factory?

Prevent voltage drop, run at a higher voltage. Better current flow as you can run more electeonics

Mine was bolted to a stud just above the rear of the alternator. No pic, sorry. I just followed the wire from the battery to the block. There is also a ground strap on the firewall about dead center. It is an engine to body ground point.

Because engineering keeps getting beaten down by accounting, and accountants are far more optimistic than engineers.

In most cases, OEM wiring is "adequate" (which should be modified by either "barely" or "marginally") for expected light use. Once you're going to plan on putting the system to some actual work, it's going to come up short.

Heaven help you if you decide to upgrade...
