So this has probably been adressed, but as far as a roll on bedliner product for the outside of my XJ how well would Duplicolor hold up? I know everyone LOVES monstaliner but It isnt readilly available to me. I want a fairly smooth result and I want it to go on thick.
Don't know about duplicolor, but I did use Monstaliner and I put it on pretty heavy. Second coat was applied a bit earlier than they said to (because of threat of rain) & it dried relatively smooth, not as rough as you'd expect bed liner to. Not Available? Just order it up & it'll appear at your doorstep in a couple days? I've heard that the duplicolor doesn't hold up that great & fades out quickly. Hopefully someone else can verify that for you.

I used Duplicolor spray on bed liner on my bumper caps about 2 years ago. I chose it because it was very smooth and for plastic bumper caps I didn't want a rough finish. It has held up fairly well and I only have a few spots that it has come off of, mainly because of trail debris.
I do have to agree with the above statement. Mine has faded since I put it on.

I try to gather as many user experiences with this because I have the 1-gallon kit waiting for me to finish preparing the interior and addressing some rust issues.
I would only use duplicolor type stuff on things that are gonna get scratched up anyways, for example rock sliders or underneath.
Can't on my I Crap, I mean phone. But look in the build thread, it'll give you a good idea on how I did mine & some pointers. I've convinced a couple friends to use it. Everyone is really impressed with it versus other brands. I'll try to post my build link when I get home from work.

I used Duplicolor spray on on my rocker/lower panels. It definitely does fade but just spray some black spray paint over it when it does and you're good to go. Still has the texture and you get the color back. Win.

Im using it on the sides of my jeep from just below the windows down. Want a textured finnish that washes off well. Fade I can deal with, probably paint over it next year anyway.

I used the Duplicolor bed armor on my Gastank skid, face of my bumpers, sliders, and rockers on my XJ It has faded barley, But it is holding up ok. It has came off in a few spots on my sliders but I have not found anything that works on sliders that wont come off when they get slammed, and grind along rocks. I just touch them up once a year
I use the duplicolor roll-on on my roof and rockers about 3 years. It has held up good. The only thing I wish I did was put one more coat when I put it on but it still looks good and is not coming off. I would recommend using it.

I tried Duplicolor the first time and brushed it on. It was actually almost too thin to roll on very well. I wasn't happy with how it covered so I sanded everything down and went with Herculiner which I rolled on. I'm super have with the results of Herculiner.

I herculined the inside of my tj tub but it is very course and hard to clean. Thats why im trying something else, for a smoother finnish. Thanks for the input guys, hopefully with proper mixing it wont be thin like some complain about.

Monsta Liner has a fairly smooth finish I am thinking of getting a tub kit for my Yj
I had access to a paint shaker it was not to thin but it was rough after I rolled it out but not too rough. If you can get it shaken for you I would recommend it but if not get one of the drill mixers.
