I have popped beads on trails - Now I do run beadlocks (17" TrailReady's) and Absolutely believe they are worth it, I typically run around 4 psi on 40" LTB's and haven't lost a bead with them yet.

 

whats the chances of a cop stopping u and checking ur wheels

 

they stop u around here for your tires stickin out too far past the flares, so they would be pretty good actually

 

Beadlocks aren't illegal so what's it matter.

 

a cop may not be able to give you a ticket, but a DMV inspector can pull your plates if they're not DOT approved.
and there are only a couple companies that manufacture DOT approved bead locks.
and welding lock rings to a DOT wheel doesn't make it DOT approved either. lol.

with that said, i haven't been stopped for mine.
