Hey there Cherokee forum member's,
I currently have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee classic that I've had a 3 inch lift in for a couple years now, i'm looking into putting new leaf packs in the back because the ones that are in it now are getting old and worn out, then i seen a video for a bastard pack using s-10 packs combined with the main leaf on the Cherokee, it said that they would add about 3-4 inches of lift, and i seen a comment and a guy said he got 5.25 inches?
So i went to the local auto salvage place and found a set of leaf packs off a 2001 Chevy s-10 2wd that are in great shape!
I just want to know for sure that these packs will give me about the same lift that i have right now, which is around 3 inches because i don't want the rear end looking all saggy hope to hear from you! thanks

Do you have relocation brackets or lift shackles now?

The things that make bastard packs nice is the price and flexibility in lift height/ ride you get with them. The down side is you may have to experiment to achieve your goal. Generally if you take the whole s10 pack and put it under your main you should get 3-4" of lift.

I use XJ main s10 main s10 second with 1" lift shackles and HDO Engineering lift relocation brackets and sit on the avg at 4.5".

You can mix and match the leaf packs to get the result you want. Too high remove a leaf, too low add one. Too stiff etc etc. If you have an easy place to do the work its not a prob. My choices were gravel or grass/dirt. I didnt enjoy redoing combinations but end results I am happy with.

Tip: Have a good 3/8" drill bit to redrill the XJ leaf/s and you will need to open the spring perch or grind the center pin down. I didnt on my perches and instead forced it in while torquing the ubolts.

thanks, i will try the s10 pack with my main first, if its too high ill figure it out through trial and error
