Default Bad vibration.

I got my SYE install finished up this week, I was driving in 4wd with the rear shaft disconnected for a few days. I started noticing a slight vibration with the rear ds out and today when I got to about 55mph I felt a vibration start up. It get much worse quite quickly as speed increases. It sounds to be comin from the front end. I check everything up front, the wheel bearings are tight. The tie rods didnt have any movement side to side but i could rotate them front to back fairly easily, I greased them the other night if that matters. The front ring and pinion seems to have a bit of excess play but I dont know if that will cause vibrations. And the front yoke is slinging some oil but I dont see that being the problem.

U joints?

I mean, if your running FWD the whole time, they're doing a job they're not meant to do.

I was in "FWD" for 3 days and took it real easy. But the ujoints seemed to be ok. I had one bad u joint, practically frozen and it only clicked in 4wd, never noticed anything driving normally. I see any play in the u joints.

I got an alignment last week and it is a lil better, the vibration doesnt start til 65ish and is real noticeable 70. I rotated the tires to rule them out and there was no change. The shop said everything looked good front to rear. They said they it sounded like it was comin from the rear so im gonna remove the rear DS tonight and go for a drive and see what happens. The shop also mentioned it looked like the front DS was contacting itself at the joint near the transfer case? Im at 4.5" of lift, I didnt think there was an issue in the front. I looked myself but didnt see anything. The roads are covered in salt right now so it a lil tough to see at the moment.

Might be worth the time and money rebuild the front driveshaft. You're vibes could be bad u-joints, worn out centering ball, worn slip yoke.

Everything feels tight, I didnt notice any play in the u-joints? If the rear shaft doesnt change anything Ill full the front and see. I dont wanna spend money that I dont need to. But driving in FWD would certainly put some extra stress on the front shaft.
