the front 30 will be the weak link on 35s. plenty of people have broken ring gears while running lunch box lockers while on 35s, might want to think about going straight to a dana 44 before wasting $$$ on that 30. (yes i am aware that people have gotten away with a similar set up, but really though 35s push the limits of the dana 30, and why waste money on something you know is gonna break?)

ERICSXJ runs 35 on an 8.25 and 30, and has had no problems. that set up will do you just fine.
If you want to swap axles just for the hell of it, be prepared to have the 3k needed just to get started.
plus, plenty of people may have broken ring gears on 30s, but its simply user error.
don't let that scare you.

I run 36's on a D30 with no issues. Make sure your u-joints aren't cheapies and do what you can to keep the tires from bouncing or shock loading when on climbs.

alright thanks everyone for the input. as of right now im not a heavy wheeler and my jeep curently has 4 inches and 33s and the most ive done is crawl over some logs and play in the mud. its my dd as well but kinda plan on making it more of just a toy. i just wasnt sure if d30 with 35s was a no no or not

so if you aren't a heavy wheeler then why do you need 35s? just curious, because you can still do a lot on 33s.
Oh, and the user error idea...less experience/heavy foot=things break easier.
There is such thing as technique.
