i have a '98 with abs. the brake booster was bad. im going to be swapping 8.25 axle in few weeks. went to the jy and picked up new booster and non abs master cylinder off another xj and had my mechanic bend me new brake lines tossed out the useless abs box under the hood, done same thing too by pulling off the relay and no cel.
