I agree a D35 on 37" isn't the way to go but somebody will always be into bigger rigs than you and crap on your axle of choice. i.e. you'll hear the same stuff about D44 being weak little axles as if they were designed for the wagons our kids play with.

This is true. And let's not forget that engine out put is just as important as tire size when discussing axle choices. If you are running a stock 6 cylinder motor then there's only so big you need to go. Dana 60s are unnecessary in these cases. That is, unless you plan on jumping your jeep. I guess the best answer for axle choice comes down to what a man wants to do with his rig and what deals are available in his area. For me personally, I can get a hold of recycled C8.25 in
Spokane, WA for $300 bucks with a 6 month warranty and put new seals/bearings and I'm rolling right along for under $400 total. It may not be new, but it has a warranty, and has less mileage on it then the rest of my jeep! Lol But that's what fits MY uses. Other people in other areas, with different goals in mind, should do different axle swaps or just build up what they have. It's very hard to give accurate advice on a forum for these reasons.
