ax-15 to nv3500 swap?

ax-15 to nv3500 swap?
I have searched and cant seem to come up with a straight answer. is the nv3500 a DIRECT swap into a cherokee currently equipt with a ax-15? i have read about a nv 3550 also. if anybody can give me an answer it would make my year!! thanks in advance
