Default automaitc to manual door

Alright so like the title says, i want to make my driver door a manual, but i want to keep the power and controls over my other doors. So im thinkin is there a way to just make a crank system.. if anyone has any input on this or has done this before, any help would be apreciated. And yes ive spent countless hours on google and the cherokee forum looking.

My first thought is where would the window crank come out when you swap the window regulator. Might be in a place that you could punch a hole in the power window door panel for the crank handle. The other thing is if the plug to the drivers side power window is not plugged into the motor will the other windows still work. Been my experience in a couple cars, do not know about a Jeep though, that if the drivers window does not work the others won't. Figure it would be easy enough to check.

Maybe I miss understood. Are you trying to make just the drivers door a manual window one? Leave the other three power window ones?

To convert to manual you would have to have a new manual regulator which would probably cost as must as fixing you window motor.

The master control on the drivers side door has to be connected in order for the other windows & (just guessing) locks to work. This is true for all XJs & probably MJs.

Manual doors are SE doors.

You will need to find and gut a SE door.

I've been looking for a pair of SE doors for my MJ for 2 years.

All the best to you and your endeavors.
