Attaching my new snorkel

I was just wondering how you guys attached your snorkel to the A piller? (thats right, right? its called the A piller?) I heard using self tappers or rivets? I got the airflow one, btw.

Which end of the plate did you attach it kinda has me slightly confused. I mean ill figure it out but id rather has kinda an idea before hand ya know?
