atf in manual gear box?
+1 on the Synchromesh.
Used it in my old Honda manual for several years. Reason i went to it in the first place was a slight grind going into second, grind was immeditaly gone with the fluid change and the old fluid was not old. (that per Honda requires 10w-30 motor oil)
Now use it in my '99 AX15 with no problems. I initially went to it after some research and crossing my fingers to correct ands engagement issue, which turned out the be the slave cylinder. Fluid is still in there though and shifts just fine.
*Neither of these vehicle's are driven lightly either. Honda was built for AutoCross and my XJ is not a DD but offroads regularly.*

The heat thing does not concern me, it isn't like Synchromesh is some crazy snake oil fluid that people just went on a whim and tried. It is made for manual transmissions so I'm sure it is designed for whatever heat they may generate. It was originally a GM fluid (as far as i know) and was very expensive. The fluid now is available pretty much at any parts store and is much less expensive.

I had some questions on what oil to use in my ax 15. After looking around on multiple forums I ended up going with redline oil. I think it was the mt 90, don't remember 100% though double check. Some people have used 10w30 motor oil in their ax 15.
