Default Arksen Roof Rack

I was looking to relocate the spare tire and gain a little extra cargo space, plus I have always thought those wire basket type roof racks looked cool so I found this inexpensive Arksen rack (sticker on the front says Bison).

It was $135 delivered from some reseller on Amazon (not Prime but got here fast nonetheless). Obviously it is not a heavy duty piece of gear but it looks like it will get the job done.

In the below pics the spare tire is just sitting up there; I still need to rig up some hardware. I thought the rack size was good for the Cherokee, and even with the spare up there, there is still room for a decent size travel bag. The hardware to attach it to the stock roof rails worked well also.

My 33x12.5 weighs in at 100 lbs or so. Ain't no way I'm lifting that over my head. Other than that, you've got a nice rack.

Thanks guys; the Cherokee project is for my 18yo son. I'll let him worry about getting it down from there...

Pictures no workie. But what about us naked-roof guys? I like having the naked roof look but the major problem with xj's is storage. I could use a rack just for carrying gear which would be a huge help...
