I rattle canned the undercarriage and the inside on the floors looks really good and hasn't started to peal or chip it's been on for a year now. Rattle can is probably best way because it's cheap and easy

get upol raptor liner in the tonable kit comes in a 4 liter kit with reducer:hardener, and pick up the shutz gun that upol offers you can tint the base material up to 10% with any urethane basecoat i have used this product on my vw caddy engine bay heres a couple shots

i also did all of the wheel wells with their black, this stuff is well worth th $150 + $20 for the schutz gun that you spend and it is as durable as anything out there, also it is solvent and chemical resistant since it is a 2k rather than 1k product

all very true the only draw back to rattle can is that it is not chemical solvent resistant, a 2k or catalyzed product, much like a 2 part epoxy, is chemical and solvent resistant. this being said if you were to spray brake cleaner on the rattle can surface it will permeate and then peel right off in a jello like form. just mu 2 cents

Ziggy that looks great and like what I'm planning
Any "pro" tips I've only painted dirt track cars in the past so I'm not by any means considering myself a pro

make sure you clean and degrease engine bay really well, scuff the surface with red scotch bright, blow it off whipe with wax and grease remover and lightly whipe the surface with a tack rag, and your ready to shoot. spraying tips would be to keep 1 to 2 feet distance from the surface your spraying, run a regulated 20 to 30 psi air pressure and exercise trigger controll to get the texture you desire, a schutz gun i just a siphon that screws on to the top of the product bottle, did i mention that all you have to do is mix shake and shoot this product it is way user friendly. also the best tip i can give you is to mix the hardener into the base material first shake for two minutes before you add your toner and then discard about an ounce of the mixed material so you can add the whole 10% amount 250ml on toner to the base material, there is just not enough room in the bottles to completely tone the material by 10% and then insert the schutz gun into the bottle without making a giant mess. you will need to replace the cap shake for another 3 to 5 minutes and you will be ready to shoot. the material will be a little bit milky looking and lighter than the color you want but once the material hardens and gasses off it will darken up and be the color you wanted. make sure to work in coats giving 20 to 25 minutes of flash time in 70ºf temperatures until you have your desired coverage, it took 3 liters to that vw bay and i put 5 coats on but i also made the stuff really thick lol. it covers really well it is designed to cover a standard 8foot pickup bed with one whole kit. hope this helps
