Default 3" lift with 1" spacers/shackles? Thoughts..

So my original plan was to go with a 3.5" RE Super-flex kit for my 2000 XJ. Now, RE is "restructuring" so I am trying to figure out what to do. I was looking at the RC 4.5" but from what I have seen, it looks like I will have to do an SYE with this which I am trying to avoid and I really don't want/need 4.5". So I'm wondering if anyone has ever done a 3" Rough Country lift and then added 1"-1.5" coil spacers in the front along with 1"-1.5" shackles in the rear? I am considering doing this and then going with some OME shocks Any ideas how this would ride and if it is a good idea? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Usually anything above 3 inches will cause driveline vibes. Every XJ is differnt though so its basically trial and error. Maybe you wont need a SYE and a hack n tap will do fine. Good luck

either way what you have described should come out to around 4 to 4.5 inches of lift, witch your still gonna need to run a tcase drop or sye with, if it were me i would just splurge on the rc 4.5 kit and see if you get vibes or not with the drop, then if you do need a hack n tap buy one and a good jy drive live and swap out the parts

you never know till you try, could vibe could not

Running a 3" BDS lift with a 1" spacer and 1" shackle, no sye just a Tcase Drop.
Works very well, but like what has been said all XJ's act differently. Little to no vibes with mine. The angle of the rear pinion does change slightly with a shackle which may help.

Thanks for the replies guys... And xjjeepthing your setup is exactly what I'm going for. I like the way yours sits and everything. Is that will full rear leafs or AALs?
