Anyone build a milder mini-stroker?
4.2L Milder mini-stroker
AMC 232 3.500" stroke crank
Jeep 4.0L 6.125" rods
Silvolite UEM-2229 +0.060" bore pistons
Increase piston dish volume to 23cc
8.8:1 CR
CompCams 68-115-4 192/200 degree camshaft
Ported HO 1.91"/1.50" cylinder head
Mopar/Victor 0.043" head gasket
0.040" quench height
Ford 24lb/hr injectors for '87-'95 engines, Accel 24lb/hr injectors for '96-'04 engines, '98 Chevy LS1 25.2lb/hr injectors for '05-'06 engines
241hp @ 5000rpm, 294lbft @ 3000rpm
Wondering if anyone's done one and about how much it would cost and such. I want to try and do one but never done anything like it before so want to find out a little more before jumping in. Got this from jeep strokers under a user cheromaniac.
I was wondering if this is something a guy with a decent amount of tools and common sense could do.
Approximately what I would be looking at price wise?
If anyone would like to help
Should I try and build with my engine or get one from somewhere and build it then drop it in?
And anything else I should know

With machine work and parts, you'll be around 1k+ in cost if you do the assembly yourself. Now it does require a few special tools to do but if you don't have the patience, you can always spend a little more and have the machine shop assemble it for you. Prices vary from state and shop used so ask around locally.

If you go by the recipe from Cheromaniac your engine does not have the H.O. head. The H.O. heads do not have the dowell pins to align the ex. manifold like the '99 head has and of course, has port shape changes. I have seen 232 cranks on Rockauto but have yet to find a 232 for parts on local (Arizona) craigslist or in pick and pull yards.Might be hard to find a core local ? If you decide to use your '99 head, your cam choices are very limited or expensive (custom grind) due to the cam retention plate differences between the earlier engines and the '98/'99 4.0L. JeepStrokers is a wealth of knowledge and experience. I wanted to be build this mini-stroker myself, but after chasing a 232 crank for awhile I came across a smoking deal on a 252 engine and changed direction and built a 4.6 short rod stroker instead.

After I finish my 3.0L build, I've got a 258 and a 4.0L that I'm going to build a stroker out of for a friends YJ. If this thread hasn't derailed by then, I'll share what it takes..
