Can someone tell me how they ride? Do they mount like stock or do you run the upper adapter and mount them tube side up? Was going to go bilstein 5100's but I was reading and some people were saying they softened them up due to customer complaints. Don't know if there's truth to that, but I like the aluminum bodies of the Fox for weather better too.

I've got them on my 95 Cherokee and I've never felt a better ride in a lifted jeep. They give it a firmer stance but with enough softness to make a nice daily driver too. If you can afford the upgrade I recommend them. They mount with the cylinder end up.

I have them too. They replaced the generic white body shocks that come with every lift kit. I am running BPEs front and rear on mine. The shocks have a built in bump stop too, but I have front hockey pucks and a rear bump stop plate that is just under 1/2" of the full compression of the shock.
The ride is a night and day difference. Everyone was talking about Bilstein shocks, and I decided to go with FOX BDS because I got a deal on them.
HERE IS WHERE I BOUGHT MY SHOCKS AT
If you find them cheaper, call the main number and press 2 for the Layton store. Talk to Justin and he will beat the price.
Tube mounts up. The ride is a little stiffer than Bilstein (the new ones at least). But I highly recommend them over Bilstein 5100s. Plus the cool factor of the big FOX RACING decal on a shock

Thanks guys, these things look killer and no rust! So is there a adapter included with them for the top of front shock or do they have a straight end on them to go up in factory hole?

just get the bilsteins. way cheaper and still plenty comfortable. no reason or rhyme for a 2.0 shock on a Cherokee in any situation
if you want to spend good money on shocks just jump straight to a 2.5" remote reservoir

Front shock has a stud that mounts in the stock location. They also have bar pins installed, so you just remove them from the box and put em on.

a jeep TJ is still what 3000lbs factory? same engine and everything. 2.0's are probably still just as worthless on those too. you buy fox because it has a cool sticker and don't know what to spend your money on (unless it's a 2.5!)

I agree... Having rode in several Jeeps that are equipped with fox shocks, I think Bilsteins are just as good if not better. They make great dirtbike shocks but I found them really stiff and still lacking on areas with wash board type stuff. Better than a white body? Yes. Worth the cash? Not to me. Now King shocks (the 2200$ per set variety) those are nice... On everything. I still want one of my buddies to try the metal cloak 6 packs... Really really cool idea... So much more travel available.

The BDS shocks not withstanding (Can't tell if they are rebuildable or not from the pictures) the standard fox 2.0 shock will work great on a cherokee IF YOU TAKE THE TIME TO VALVE/TUNE THEM. A properly tuned rebuidable shock will always be better then a non-tunable shock. Now if your not going to take the time to valve/tune your fox/king/saw shocks then dont waste your money on them.
Yes, a 2.5 is better then a 2.0, but that also applies to a properly set up 2.0 is better then a 5100. It all depends on how much YOU want to pay and how much time YOU want to take to tune them.
With shocks bigger is always better, the more oil in the body and resivor if it has one the longer it will keep its dampening performance but with size comes cost.
However, if you have King Kong 4.0 bypasses on your cherokee, that are not set up right, a properly set up 2.0 will work better all the time everytime.
