Default any input on running 17x9 rims?

I'm running 31s on o.g limited rims. Found a great deal on craigslist for some aluminum 17x9 rims! I would most likely run 33s but would they be a good combo with these rims?

Sure. They'd work great. Have you priced 17" tires lately?

I actually found 4 33x10.5 and 33x12.5 bfg km2's for 750! Both sets new! What width will work best?

I like the looks of a larger rim in a 33" tire.

Jeeps come stock with 17" rims and 31-33" tires... The look fine.

If it is mostly a DD then the 17s would work fine. If you wheel your Cherokee much you will want to have a tire at least twice the height of your rims. 17" rims = at least 35" tires, 33" tires go with a 15 or 16" rim.

are ya sure those are for a 17" wheel?

my sources say the tires you are talking about running don't exist in the size you want.

I have 17" Jk wheels with basically 32" tires on my mj and i like how it looks. Not great for Offroad but this is mostly a daily driver work truck

a 17" wheel will be a metric tire size most of the time. so a 33ish tire would be a 265/75/r17 or something like that. personally i like the 17 inch moabs. it depends i think. are they chrome ricer rims or more of a tougher rim. because a 17 inch offroad wheel/rim would look nice. and it doesn't matter what me or the next guy says, it all comes down to what you like

Idk how strong the stock alloys are compared to the xj ones, but they're plenty strong for most. I broke a Ecco rim a few years back, so did one of my buddys. Alloys from higher gvwr trucks are much stronger, but also different bolt patterns.

Did you have to install a lift for the 17’s?
