Default Another lift question

Ok so im fairly new to the lifted jeep world haha. My XJ now has 4.5 inches of lift on 33's. Has a t-case drop and thats it. Im looking to do between 6.5-8.5 of lift. Ive read about a SYE to correct the rear drive shaft angle. But i have a 242 not a 231 and haven't been able to find one. Last would i have to regear it if im going to run 36's? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

search for a "hack n tap" for the 242. and yes, i would definitely recommend re-gearing for 36's. 6.5" w/ 36's would sit nice

Tom Woods will custom make a driveshaft for you, at a reasonable price, and great quality.
My XJ is sitting on 8" and 36" tires. 6.5" of lift with 36" tires would be a little too much, in my opinion, it'd look a bit odd.
Rubicon Express lifts are nice, but of course they're not in business right now.
Rusty's I would highly recommend, that's what I have on mine, and I love it.

Check out Iron Rock Offroad, they have some good stuff for the XJ and prices are good. Iam running their long arm upgrade kit and I'm very happy with their products.
