Default ANOTHER hack and tap question (driveshaft)

going to do one in prep for a larger, 5.5 in iron rock offroad kit. in GENERAL, a front driveshaft that ill replace the parts on from a 97+ 4.0 L AW4 will be long enough, right? looking for personal input here, i cant measure yet and i know i wont know "for sure" but this shaft would be a good bet correct? if it doesnt work, ill just have a spare for up front. ahah.

I have a question about the hack n tap and front DS. I'm installing it on my 92, and was told I could use my front driveshaft. Might I run into any issue with doing this? My buddy has a DS from his 97 XJ, would that work for my front to enable my 4WD?

There a are a few lengths depending on Auto/Manual, rear end etc. but the shaft sould work. My rear is exactly the same as my front shaft.

I cut about 1 and 1/4 inches off my NP242 output shaft. I wish i had cut off about 1/2 inch instead. i have about of inch of out travel on my DS which is fine but not centered in the (approx)3 inch range.

The cut is really easy and quick (zip cut grinder, jeep in reverse) so start with a little and then cut more if you need.

Good luck
