I have a 99 xj, 4.5" rubicon lift,33x12.50s,jks sbb, u turn draglink,and serious death wobble! Im upgrading my gearbox to a psc and was wondering if the hard kor tracbar setup from kevins offroad would help me? Is it worth the money? What else should i do to get rid of the DW?

 

Do u have a beefier steering stabilizer?

 

A steering stabilizer will NOT fix a death wobble issue,only mask the real problem. Death wobble is caused by worn parts and bad steering geomtry. With 4.5" of lift, you're going to need an adjustable trackbar, longer control arms, a drop pitman arm, and a good alignment. With those parts and a good solid steering linkage, you should have no death wobble issues.

 

Also, get the alignment checked, and the wheels checked to make sure they are balanced.

 

i just had a alignment shop go through it and they said all is good besides the gearbox is leaking and slight play. i agree the stabilizer is a quick cover up to the problem. and i cant replace it every other month.i do have longer control arms and adjustable tracbar.

 

is anyone running the hard kor tracbar? is it any good? and is the psc gearbox what i should get? do I have a good setup or should i do something different? i have to trailer my jeep to wheel it now and that sucks!!!!

 

Also im adork and put this thread under jeep builds, how do i remove it from their?

 

Check the control arm bushings, hard to see and could be worn out. Do you have a drop pitman arm?
