Default Another backspaceing question

I am sorry as I know this has been asked a lot, I just can't seem to figure out what to do. I have a 94xj with an OME lift. I am running BFG 235's on 15x8 with 3.75inch backspace. When I am wheeling the tires both front and back hit the pinch seams, how do I avoid this? Should I buy new wheels? Increase the bump stops(although that will decrease articulation)? I don't think that just hammering the seam will allow the wheel to go fully into the well. What is everyone's thoughts

Cut your fenders. Not sure what suspension you're running but it sounds like it's time.

Like what t_long said, trim your fenders up to the mini flares at least. Yes to the bump stops. Once you get the length of the bump stops right then set up your shocks for maximum drop.

The wheels are correct but you have zero lift the factory (OEM lift) really isn't much to speak of. You need lift kit 2-3", trim fenders, new shocks, bump stops or go back to a stock tire size.

Post up a picture so we can see what you're working with. Sounds like bump stopping or cutting the fenders will be your answer.

backspacing is fine. im running 32s on cragars with the same backspacing, i dont rub when i turn but i did use to hit my fenders because of improper bumpstops. im putting hockey pucks in the front, only cost $12 for six of em, three each side. still working on the rear since i broke the bolt that holds em, im waiting to borrow my buddies welder.

Are you running OEM or Old Man Emu(OME)? and X2 to trimming fenders, bumpstops. and that pinch seam you're referring to should also be made flush with the body. Hope this helps and good luck

it says he's running OME, so i would think old man emu.

bumpstop extensions will help in your situation if you don't want to cut your fenders.
