My alternator had begun to make a grinding noise and is on its way out. I have a few old cj alternators and wondered if I could use one. The small block Chevy alternator looks like the inline six alternator. Any advice or suggestions just trying to skip the step of buying a new one.

 

CJ stuff won't work. Nor GM.

 

i got a 100 amp alternator from napa, its a reman with better coverage and cheaper then a brand new bosch 100 amp. i have had it over a year and no prob
