Oh and go 2.5. My high flow cat is 2.5 inches. Here real soon I'm going 2.5 all the way back. Then maybe turning out to the passenger side right in front of the rear tire. Should be sweet. Seen it here many times.

Alright here's one i havent heard, and it may be ridiculous, but i figure yall can steer me clear if needed...I have a 96 xj and i've been looking for headers, the biggest i can find is 2.5, but my buddy says he has an exhaust guy that could build me some 3 inch performance headers...is this a good idea or should i stick with the 2.5?

Stick with the 2.5 you would have to mod the exhaust downstream.

with a bit of customizing you could buy an adapter pipe and get it up to 3in after your cat....ive never done it but it could cause some clearance issues under the jeep....easy way go 2.5... For more work go 3in to look custom

I have a 95 jeep cherokee, and Im trying to get a nice sounding exhaust, kinda looking for a slight crackle, and i know i cant do much with a straight 6 but i have a thrust muffller,no cat, stock diameter tubing. Would getting smaller pipe give that effect? What about dual pipe, is that possible with the gas tank near the drivers side?
