The Super is the same as the regular 44 but it has tougher diamond plate shell. Better for crawlin.

I'm pretty sure they're the same and that people are lazy typers. I have the super 44 ad it doesn't have diamond plate housing

Default spit and sputter

98 Cherokee sport 4.0l 103K miles - so this weekend i installed a new magnaflow cat 94136 and a new flowmaster 40 series muffler 8042541 and new dynomax tailpipe 44171
and 2 new O2 sensors
all stainless but the tailpipe...
anyway, now when i first start my jeep, it will idle fine and then about 30sec to a minute into running it will spit and sputter for about 5-10sec and then run fine... i don't understand it.

only reason for the new exhaust is due to a CK Engine light from the rear O2 sensor being bad and when i went to replace it the rust made it very very easy to remove... so i did the new cat etc....

any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

Does anybody make a 3 or 4 inch exhaust system? Or a good dual setup? I want my jeep as loud as possible.

Biggest you need to go is 2.5, its not a big truck so 4 or even 3 is useless. So you should try a 2.5" high flow cat along with 2.5" tubing from the cat back. Put in a 8" cherry bomb and do a turn down before the rear axle. That's the best legal way to be really loud

On an xj they are not worth the work, the exhaust leaves the engine on one side through 1 pipe so splitting it just provides more pipe to damage on the trail

If you offroad your jeep it will get ripped off fast! A turn down at the rear axle will do the same

New question. I need to replace exhaust system from the cat to the back. I'm not specifically looking for performance upgrades, stock is fine with me. What's my best option?

Please forgive me if this question has been asked. I've searched but couldn't find, and I don't really want to read through 112 pages on this thread.

Thanks!
