Shocks for stock height sjould be fine. BPEs take an inch of travel away and stock shocks work fine on 2 inches of lift.

TY.

...but what I'm more interested in, is can I go 1 inch more with BPE's and a 2 inch plus lift?

...that additional inch in shock ext/comp lengths would "open up" the use of some additional [new] shock absorber choices. (The use of BPE's, ditto.)

I guess along those lines, I'm also asking if "ride-valving" (is that a usable term?) is "optimal" (engineered in by the shock manufacturer) at some given compression length with the vehicle's full weight on the springs?

Not sure exactly what you're asking here. But i'd recommend some JK Rubicon shocks for around 2-3" of lift. I've got them on mine, and they ride pretty good. That.. and you can get them damn dirt cheap.

I don't think another inch of shock travel could hurt much as long as you still have bumpstops.

Full leaf, don't even consider an add a leaf.

Rubicon express super flex 3.5 is extremely popular, and great quality. Iron rock offroad is also great quality and very popular, if its purely an offroad jeep though, you might wanna look into a 4.5 inch long arm kit from rubicon express, bds, iron rock offroad, or rustys.

May I suggest a zone offroad 4.5" lift kit. That on here you can get for around $650.
