I don't know anything about the Ironman bar, but I've never heard anything bad about the company's products. I'll personally be getting another IRO double shear track bar when I lift mine. It survived two rolls on my XJ, and now dukie564 is using it with no complaints.

NEVER heard anything bad about the IRO one just don't know which to get with a 2wd DD and mild to moderate wheeling... My mind is telling me quality though

I would suggest a double shear bar, and then base your decision on price. IRO is pretty cheap; I paid $205 shipped with, I think, a 5% discount.

Oh that's probably just the shocks, that model is quite stiff, or it could be your sway bar links, do you still have a rear sway bar? Your track bar is what centers your axle, the install is not too tough if you have a come a long or some ratchet straps. Do you have a problem with your tires rubbing when you try to fully turn? If it does on one side more than the other then your axle is off centered. Also you can have your wheels straight and measure from the frame rails to the inside of the tire and see if there is a difference. Look around for the slop in your sway bar, is it from a bushing? Post a pic of your jeep!

Can you run Acog adjustable spacers with stock springs to give you a small budget boost style lift in the front?

If so what is the min and max lift acogs will get you?

You can, 1.5-3.75" according to JKSmfg.com. ACOS, by the way. Adjustable Coil Over Spacers.

Also for the price you can buy a 3", 4.5", and 6.5" spring and swap them in when you want but that's just me...

Getting a vibration between 20 and 35mph after a piddly little 2" lift. Ordered a 1" t-case drop kit yesterday and hopefully, that'll fix the problem.

Default 1988 Jeep cherokee Lift

I want to put a lift kit on my 1988 Jeep Cherokee (Automatic 4.0 straight six), but I don't know what to get. I want it to ride good on the street and in the forest. I'd prefer a 6 inch lift, but what else do I have to do to it if I lift it that high. I would prefer something cheaper, but at the same time I want it to look awesome so I am willing to save my money for it. Also, how big of tires should I get and is there a specific kind you recommend?

Did you get a CV joint for the driveshaft? If not you need that.

Call of Duty much? Lol and you'll pay way too much money for those spacers. That being said, I believe those are your only option for easily adjustable height.

Long arms for ride quality. Doesn't matter what brand you get, anyone on here will agree that long arms offer superior ride. LA kits typically come in 4.5" of lift and up. You could fit 31's without having to trim and have an exceptionally capable vehicle. As for brand, it's opinions. Find something that will work for you and your style of driving and wheeling, and what's in your price range.

At 6"s of lift you should be on 35's at least.

Goodyear, BFG, any of the big names are good.
