yea I strongly suggest you avoid a lift that uses add-a-leafs for the rear - they'll all ride rough and eventually sag.

http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_4x.html This one is much more complete and will ride 1000% better - full leaf packs for the rear, new control arms and trackbar (which you would need to buy anyways), and you get swaybar disconnects and longer stainless brake lines. The control arms and trackbar are adjustable also, so you can reuse them if you decide to change your lift amount later down the road.

I actually looked at that lift, but I have a tight budget. Is there anything cheaper that compares to it?

You need to choose between tight budget or comfort. You can get a cheap lift, or you can save up and get something that'll ride nice.

I paid $475 for my 4.5" Zone Offroad. Included nitro shocks.

Rough ride is subjective on any forum. Am I picky? More than most. This lift isn't bad at all. Get it and be done! My last Rough Country on my Wrangler....sucked. Rough ride for sure. This one on the cherokee, is much nicer ride.

I want to put a lift on my cherokee but im not sure what is a good size for an agressive stance and good handleing on and off road. this is a daily driver. Also what size and brand tire do you think are good for this.

3" is probably the best for an on/off roader

31" is probably a good tire size, as far as brand, do some research and decide on your price range, and find a few, then ask around about 'em

There are so many tires for many different applications that you need to decide on a few things to narrow it down

Default I have 32 inch tires and 3in of lift.

hey guys, i was given a set of 32x11.50s when a friend graduated to 35's i have 3 inches of lift and plan to put on some bush wakers or at least the off brand. i also have a tube bumper which adds a little room in the front wells. will i have any problems with rubbing? if so where are the trouble spots.

thanks Guys,
Corey

you should be ok with some minor trimming, which is typically required with bushwhackers anyways

Fenders should be fine if you bumpstop your axles. I ran 33x12.5s on a 3" lift with trimmed fenders and no flares. If you still have your stock control arms and/or stock wheels, you will probably rub your Lower Control Arms. You can fix that by buying aftermarket wheels with less backspacing (~4"), buying aftermarket LCAs (especially round ones), or by adjusting your steering stops (which will reduce your turning radius).

I have been looking some longarm upgrades. What is the benefit of Rusty's Longarms using two upper links Vs. Ironrock Offroad's Longarms using just one. What are the advantages of the bends in the IRO arms? I suppose they provide more tire clearance during turns. Any help with this is appreciated.

Iron Rock's arms and joints are far superior to Rusty's IMO.

The reason for the bend is indeed clearance, and the single upper link causes the suspension to bind less than a double link system would.

What makes IRO's joints better?

Is this the part where I start bashing IRO?
