at 3.5" with a 2000 you probably won't need a SYE, but probably will need a TC drop, and relocate your front brake line mounts. You'll also need new shocks.

Very good information. Thanks!

How will I know if I need a SYE? Driveline vibrations?

Yes, you can set your toe with a tape measure, I did at least 1000 miles ago and I haven't ruined my tires yet

Did rough country ever sell a 3.5" lift for a Cherokee? I know someone selling one but don't know if he is telling me the correct brand. I am thinking about buying it and then get an extra inch with shackles and coil spacers. What do you guys think? Should I do that or get 4.5" leafs and springs?

Front 3.5 or 4.5 coils and rear Old Man Emu 2 inch leafs with 1.5 shackles. is this a bad budget lift for DD and im thinking the wrong thing. What would i have to do for shocks. And are control arms a nasessity. maybe a 3 inch coil with a spacer.

Plan on making my own shackles. So I just wanna make sure I have this right, for every inch on longer in the shackle equals a 1/2 inch of lift?

^ essentially yes. a1.5" lift shackle is 3' longer than stock.

So what is the best back spacing to run with 285/75/16's on a 16x8 wheel? I have read 4" but would love to confirm that. I want to keep that as far under the jeep as i can while still being able to turn.

4 Is pretty good. The lower the number the more it will stick out.

Hi i need some help. I'm going to be buying a cherokee pretty quickly and i had some questions. If i want to run 33" tires on a 2000 cherokee (manual transmission) do i need to regear? Also could someone recommend a good but not too expensive 3" or 3.5" lift kit that they have used?
