I have two Cherokees. Both '99s. One two door 5 speed and the other my woods is 4 door auto. My 2 door is lifted 3 inches and only had about an inch of spline engagement and my DS fell out once. My 4 door is on 4-4.5 inches and i just had to get a shorter DS for it after I redid the leafs and put 4° shims in. I got off lucky though and swapped the two and now I have around 3-4 inches of engagement on both with about 1.5 inches of up travel on the out put shaft.
It varies for everyone. And you might be able to get a longer DS and it may work. Ill probably do the Hack n tap next year.
Idk if your kit comes with extended brake lines but you'll need those too. But there's ways to get by cheaply and effectively.

Not necessarily. Lime I said its really easily to relocate the stock hard line. There's plenty of write ups on it here. Just drill two holes straighten the hard line then screw it back in.

Can i fit 285/75/16 inch tires on these wheels 16x7 with a 4.5 inch lift trimmed? What's the back spacing in them? And how wide are the rims? I would guess there's a little rubbing but I'd adjust the steering stops.

Wanting to get rid of my 15" wheels for 16" and give the Treadwright Guard Dogs a go.

I have heard that they both will go 40k to 50k but I will know more in a couple of years.

Nope, staying at 3". I did the lift, had vibes, and then put the drop on. I even took the drop off the other day hopeing that my leafs settled down enough to get rid of the vibes but no go. I thought that vibes were caused by the slip yolk being too far extended and not having enough length engaged in the tail housing? So i figured that adding shims would basically push the driveshaft towards the tc more.
And heres the x member. The center is removable. Pretty clever really.

Biggest issues causing semi tire blowouts are trailer brakes locking up (vacuum loss), and when two tires in a dually pair are either different pressures or worn different rates (one tire gets smaller than the other, but both have to spin at the same rate, so they heat up and wear out, blowing out at 60 mph and higher-than-car-pressure (50-90psi). Either condition can be prevented.
We have two guys at work that run treadwrights. Neither have had issues. I plan to get some whenever I run out of tires.
