My buddy has a 3.5in lift and 33s and had to trim alot on front and rear. Even with spacers your gonna have to trim. Unless you dont wheel it.

I got a question for anyone out there with experience. What would be the best fitting tire for a 3" lift between the 265/70R16 ( 30.6" X 10.4" ) or a 265/75R16 ( 31.6" X 10.4" ). I'll go with the bigger ones if they'll fit and not look to stuffed. Any opinions? I want the tire that will look the best in there!
Thanks

Okay I got a question. I have a RC 6.5" lift and cut fenders. I'm ordering 34x10.5 ltb. Now I know I have plenty of clearenxe height wise because it use to have 36s. But I wanna run the ltb's on stock jeep wheels. Will I be allright or will I rub because of no backspacing? I hope it'll be fine because the jeep wheels are a dime a dozen around here. Someone let me know thanks.

you'll be okay in the back, up front you're gonna hit serious rubbing issues up front due to the increased height of the tire(which matters more than width does up front)

Yeah I have 10.50s on the back of mine and they're close to the leaves, but I'm not worried about it.

Me either, I've had my rear fully flexed and it only rubbed on the fenders.

Few questions..
Need shocks for lift, and a cheap solution would be some Rusty's shocks. Are they okay for the 33$/ea? Or if I can afford it was thinking about going with some Bilstein 5100's About 160$ shipped for a pair.
Anyone that is using the ironman4x4fab bolt-in track bar (the one that uses a factory tie-rod end that is adjustable installed).. How is it? It seems to me that for the price and is a direct bolt in that it is worth it.
Considering using 2nd set of Xj leafs for a bastard pack/lift shackle.. but If I were to go with the OME 2" lift leafs, do you recommend the medium or heavy duty leafs?
The lift coils I have now are about 3.5" (PO says they sagged a bit, so I'm guessing more around 3"-3.25).

Any other suggestions are appreciated as well.

So should I buy spacers so the stock wheels are offset a little in the front? Where could I buy some?

a set of cragars are about 220 shipped to your door, and they would be better than spacers.

whats the deal with the select trac tc. rough country doesnt offer a long arm lift for my xj because of the tc. also are these transfer cases any good for wheeling .

They're a full-time transfer case. Stronger rating than the 231 too. Personally I don't like the way the RC LA kit looks and I'd instead get this: http://tntcustoms.com/y-linkupgradexj.aspx

and buy a set of Bilstein 5150s for the amount of lift you want(assuming you want the 4.5" kit here) along with ome 3" leaf packs and shackles to get another inch of lift, then get 5" coils for up front.

about to order a 3" lift kit from RC. Got a decent deal on this one http://roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3x.html
so i decided to drop the fixed arms and go with the adjustable lower arms. In order to do this I went down to this kit http://roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3.html

and added the xflex adjustable arms options. Whichever one I go with did I make the right decision? Basically for 30 more I got the adjustable arms and no sway bar drop brackets. I want to get JKS discos and I dont think I need the drop brackets if I put them in. Am I right?

Also Im gonna run 31x10.5x15. Do I need to be worrying about backspacing at all? Gonna put the BFG mud terrains on it. Any input would be awesome because uncle sam finally cam through and coughed up my check
