Ok I have a 2wd 4.0 96 classic. I'm wanting a 5 inch lift but I havent the slightest idea of what I need the lift kit package to include. Not sure of all the components I need for a decent lift with all necessary components. Would appreciate the feedback. Thanks . - Matthew

I'd get the iro hack n tap with front drive shaft and forget about the t case drop. The shims I'm not sure about. Somebody else want to chime in

I have heard that hack and taps are not so good due to leaking but is this the one?

I have a 90 xj that is a 2 door. I was told when I bought it that it had a 4 inch Rough Country lift but I am quickly finding out this was not true. This all started by me wanting to find new shocks but I need to know how much lift I really have so I know what shocks to order.
This is what I do know:
REAR--The rear springs have been replaced with a new pair of springs that have a number 53111 on them. I can not seem to find anything on these springs other than that they provide 1 to 6 inches of lift???? Does anyone know how much they actually give?
FRONT--See pictures. The front springs are red but look like they might have been spray painted? Are the spacers on top of the spring the "blocks" that everyone says to stay away from or are those factory? What about the part that goes down the middle of the spring? Also, it looks like someone relocated the mounts on the front axle were the sway bar hooks but as you can see in the pictures, angles are bad & bushings are shot.
The shocks all the way around look to be the Rubicon take off shocks. They have the OE15700, 186AA #'s and everything but I dont think they are long enough for the lift.
Other issues are, I get a pretty good vibration around 50 that I think is coming from the rear driveshaft? It is all stock & has no SLE. Also, I notice the death wobble when just going down a smooth road? The 2 vacume lines to the front axle are not hooked up. The 4x4 works great thow? Is it possible that the front axle is just always locked?
If anyone can help me identify any of these parts & issues, please make suggestions on what needs to be done different, I would appreciate the help! I am a pretty mechanical guy but have not messed with lifted vehicles much at all.

Those "appear" to be 3" spacers hard to tell exactly how tall they are from the pic. As far as Someone telling u to stay away from spring spacers they are fine. Its the rear spring " lift blocks" that are really not desireable. Hope this helps. The thing in the middle of the front Springs is the factory Bumpstops.. as far as the sway bar Definatly need longer links to the axle.

Thanks James P. The spacer on top of the spring is 1 3/4 inches tall, it has another rubber spacer that is about 3/4 of a inch tall for a total thickness of 2 1/2 inches. I am unsure if they have just used these spacers on top of the stock springs or what they have done?
