Oabtw- dunno about lca's. If you look into rc lift, check vendor forum here, look for grimus, he will deal nicely with you.

I have a 4.5" J9 Zone lift on my 96 XJ. I have some 31x10.5R15LT's that I would like to run on some 15x8 Centerlines with 3.75" back spacing. Do you think they will stick out too far? Any pics of similar XJ's? Thanks!

Thanks for the info, I will check into it.

Did you go with the AAL or new rear spring packs? If you have the new springs how is the ride?

Don't do the aal. Go full pack. Better in the long run. Rides kinda stiff but a good stiff if that makes sense.

I just bought a 2" RC lift off ebay for $90 and that included shipping. It came with two rear adjustable shackles and two front coil spacers.

Just to add to this in case Haynes doesn't know, 4wd and 2wd lifts are the exact same.

Btw, that's the lift I think I'm gonna get when I get my new XJ drivable to run 31's until I get saved up and ready to go with the full Clayton 4 link.

Can you run 31" tires on a two inch lift without having to cut or modify anything?

I pulled some rusty's leaves from a jeep at the JY and I am sure they are 3.5" lift springs, but i noticed he wasn't running a t-case drop, no sye, no shims, stock driveline, d35, renix 4.0L and an np242 t-case, so the question is does something to do with the np242 mean you don't need any sort of t-case drop or was this guy a complete idiot and ran his jeep with mad vibes?

edit: cuz my jeep is just like the jy one

It depends on the jeep, there's a guy on here running 5 inches with no t case drop, I think he Was in this thread when he told me too, but bottom line, some jeeps vibe like crazy with 2" and some can go like 6 without anything, just depends

Maybe someone that has done this will jump in here and let us know. I was just curious. It will be a while before I buy new rims and larger tires.

When I do buy new rims/tires I was going to go with 15x8 rims with 31x11.50 tires if I can find them. Also going with either 4" or 4-1/2" back space on the rims which should help/solve any rubbing issues. The stock rims that are on it have 5-1/2" back space so I know 31x11.50's won't work without rubbing.

Any preferences on the rim back spacing? Which is more common to find, 4 or 4-1/2 inch back space? If anyone else on here has ran 31's on a 2" lift please let me know how it worked out for you.
