Been doing some homework, and being a mechanic already I know for as much I think I know, there is a whole lot more others have experienced before me. Thanks for sharing. I have Rusty's bookmarked already.

Oh how I hate the rusted on thrules bolts for suspension, and the rusted in bushings. Today I had to torch out a set if rear control arm bushings on a Subaru....ugh. anti-seize on new hardware for my build. Great reminder, thanks Salad.

I have a 2001 Sport 4x4 that I'm debating putting a 2" lift on it. It's going to be a daily driver for at least another 2-3 years, then it will become a second vehicle and will likely be lifted up to 3-4". It will see only highway, gravel roads, and occasionally some snow storm driving/playing. No offroading until its the second vehicle. I want it to be stiff enough to handle curvy roads good, but would like the smoothest ride I can get (for a 2" lifted XJ anyway).
I definitely have to replace the rear leaf springs now. Would you guys recommend an oem replacement spring pack and shackles or get something like the OME 2.75" rear springs (and maybe remove a leaf from the pack if needed)?
For the front I'll probably go with either Rusty's 2" springs or OME 2930 springs, and a small spacer.
FWIW- It does have a hitch mounted 50lb bike rack (160lbs with 4 bikes) and will normally have around 100lbs worth of stuff in the back (tools, portable Craftsman jack, mtb gear, etc...).
Thanks in advance!

All Lift & Tire questions go here!!!
I will point out that Iron Rock Offroad and (I think) Iron Man 4x4 both sell bent LCAs that allow for more suspension droop before the LCA contacts the shock mounting plate.
But I am interested in what your plans are so we may be able to give advice. What do you consider to be LCoG? Lift height and tire size? Plans to stretch the wheelbase or replace axles?
No, I don't lick fish.
Man Tim, if you had a dollar every time that chart was used, you'd probably have a good lookin' savings account.
Yup.... http://ironman4x4fab.com/Products/LCA-F.html beefy as hell too. I've never heard a negative thing about this company either. There are a few on here that use their products and know the owner well
To answer this question, I would get on Google and start looking at different companies to see who has active sales. That's something you're equally capable of doing.
