I have nothing against the bfg ko's they are great tires and they can tear it up. Had a set on my truck. But the big downer is....if you live on gravel roads like I do. They kind of stink because rocks get stuck and they fling alot of rocks up...kind of annoying listening to that...but hey thats what the radio is for. Great tires a little pricey though!

Hey, I'm kinda new to lift kits but wanting to do something to my 2 cherokees. I got 2 jeep cherokee sport editons one is a 1994 (grey) and one is a 1993 (white) i prefer the 91-96 body style but i won't get a 90 cause i favor the High Output. Anyways I'm lookin for a lift kit and I'm trying to see what people recommend. I'm wanting to run about a 6" kit with 35's. I've been looking at the RE 5.5" EXTREME-DUTY LONG ARM and the R/C 6.5" kit. Problem being the RE recommends a sye and driveshaft but doesn't show really what to get, although i hear RE kits are rock solid. The R/C is MUCH better priced and has a recommended SYE and CV i just haven't heard much about them.

If you can afford it, get the RE long arm kit. It will probably sit a little higher than 5.5" and the general consensus is that RE stuff is gooder

Well cost ain't too much of an issue, I'm not married, lol If i do the RE long arm I'll probably match it with some Bilstein 5100's but i still haven't heard of a good CV and SYE to pair with it.

Any SYE will work with it as lifts and sye's are mechanically unrelated. Do a search and you'll come up with tons of options for SYE's. As for the driveshaft, to get it just right and if cost isn't an issue, give Tom Woods a call. He makes nice stuff and might be able to suggest a length. Your best bet would probably be to install the lift and measure for the shaft though. I'd bet that if you were to contact RE they could help you out with their recommendations as well.
I have a 99' classic bone stock(susp.) and wanted to add a 2" coil spacer up front. How difficult is it to do? Everything seems easy til your in the nitty gritty! Also, I added helper springs to the rear which brought it up, but is it possible the stock shocks would limit how much the rear comes up from the helper springs(shocks not long enough)? Hope this sounds right, any help is appreciated! It is my DD w/ 95% road time, 5% o.road. Thanks

Sure you could fit em but umm they will rub not only turning, flexing but also rolling unless you trim your fender a lot.

so my leaf packs are startin to sagg.. no suprise. SO, i need to upgrade!
what i'm lookin for is somethin to give me a 2" lift so i can toss coil spacers in the front and give myself a bit more clearance for some 30's. Anyone know where i can find spring packs that will give me two inches of lift? Also, not looking to get the most expensive one's on the market so please keep that in mind
Also, had a buddy of mine suggest getting them rearched. any opinions/experiences with that??
thanks in advance.

sorry for cutting your question off jesse, didn't want to start a new thread.
I want to do a 3" lift on my xj. And i wanted to know if aal will be fine, or if i should save some more $ and get full leaf packs. I want to geet the lift as soon as i can, but i'm willing to wait if you guys say aals suck.I plan on doing some moderate off-roading probablly every or everyother weekend. The trails aren't crazy or anything, just alot of mud and sand...

but while i'm here i might as well try to answer your question.. from what i've been told (no experience personally) AAL are good for about a year. and thats if you have spring packs that arent sagging to begin with. But, most AAL's sag within the first year because, essentially, it is just one leaf bein added to try and help boost the rest of the pack. If you put alot of weight in the back of your truck or tow with it, the AAL's will sag even quicker (so i've been told).
hope that helps. after the research time i've put in, i'm gunna go with full packs (as u can tell by my post) so if u can afford em now, go for it.. if not then i'd suggest waiting.
