Thanks guys. I actually had not heard of Zone lifts but i am looking into them now. Looks like you can get an AAL 3" lift for around $300. My jeep has all new shocks but not sure about rear leaf springs. Makes me wonder if it does because it does not have any sag in it at all but i will have to check!

hey guy's i got a question, i have a 97 zj, 4" rc lift, adjustable control arm's ect, when i bought it, it had some 33's but they rubbed the control arm's when turning, now them wheel's had 4.5-5.5" back spacing & iirc they are either 15x7's or 15x8's, now i picked up some A/R saw blade's that are 15x7 with around 3.5" back spacing, will this set up work or am i better off finding something else??

Go to you tube and look up bleepinjeep, Matt has some good info especially for beginners. I don't agree with everything, but I still think he's a really good recourse. I used his suggestion for a Bastard pack on my 88 pioneer. I did a piece by piece project and got a 3.5 lift. I'll probably get chewed out for this but a lot of my parts were from the junk yard or Amazon. Amazon delivered the parts quickly and accurately.

As the guy was saying about RC parts, the only problem I had was an RC part. The quick discos, I snapped off the lower pin. I made my own replacement part.

Are your 33's 10.50's or 12.50's? With 3.5" BS you should be good to go with either a 10 or 12 and a half inch tire.

Zone is a BDS company. BDS makes good stuff. AAL's are only as strong as the rest of the preexisting leafs. You said you have no sag now, how many leafs are in the pack? OEM is 3 leafs and doesn't last long, especially if you flex em. You can certainly do a bastard pack and have success, it's just more involved and may take some trial and error to get the height/ride you want.

So, I've pretty much decided on a lift, and I thought I knew what tires I wanted, but I have a question first. I want a 3.5" Rubicon Express Super-Ride with full packs, and pro-comp shocks all around. In my state, Massachusetts, your tires need to be entirely covered. If I get a set of Bushwacker flares or Rugged Ridge or something similar, can I fit 33s under those flares, or would it require more cutting than that?

3.5 BS should clear 12.50s fairly easy. If it does rub it will be at absolute fully lock

OK I know that the rear springs on my XJ have been replaced, but I have no idea with what leafs. All I do know is that it sits like a 70s hot rod, the rear is noticeably higher than the front. If I measure in line with the rear axle ground to the drip rail I get 63" and at the front edge of the drip rail I get 60". I can't use the standard center of axle to fender flare measurements because the flares are gone. I don't think that 3" drop is normal, but I was planning on doing a small lift on it anyhow. I was just going to go with a set of adjustable spacers in the front to get it leveled out, but then I looked at the price of them I was shocked.

Since I was planning on doing a small AAL lift any how, if the rear is already lifted, would adding a leaf from a Zone 3" lift kit lift the rear more if it was already at 3" or would it stay the same?

Considering the price of the Zone AAL 3" kit is only a bit more than than the JKS adjustable front spacers, with the upgraded shocks it is an option.

So after looking for i think i have decided to do a full leaf kit when i do one. This zone lift seems decent, also would you recommend the shock upgrade they offer with it or get the basic ones and maybe sell and buy something even better? I may have to wait a little bit longer than wanted since i may spend a little more.

A buddy and I are planning a trip out to colorado from Kansas next year so just need it ready by then
