Leafs give better stability, better load carrying capacity, and (if properly configured) better articulation. Also, extended shackles on factory leaf springs will cause them to crack and break at a highly accelerated rate.

im thinking about just getting heavy duty replacements and dealing with it. i dont wheel terribly hard. i live in iowa so most of my off roading consists of mudding. my friends all have trucks and cant get where i can go so i just stick with getting dirty for the most part. hopefull the hd replacements will hold up better than stock. another problem is i do tow quite often. nothing crazy but enough to get some serious sag in the rear.

Does anyone know where I can get 16" steel wheels? They don't make the tires I want to run in a 15". In fact they are very limited on sizes, but they are an awesome tire.
2 questions? First, are adda leafs bad? I'm looking at 2" lift kits (shocks included, which I need) but they come with add a leafs? Are the good for mudding?
2.) When I lift it I don't need to do anything to the exhaust system right?

2. No. You do not need to modify the exhaust.

1. As long as your OEM spring packs are in good condition then AALs are fine for a while. They'll eventually start to sag.
How would I check to see if there good? Any idea how long till they sag? The lift is about 250 is that a good price?
