Rubicon Express 3.5 Flex Questions
Good afternoon,
Am a new member just signed up today!
I recently purchased a 98 Cherokee 6 cyl automatic.
I have done a lot of reading before venturing out and purchasing my RE 3.5 lift kit components...I did not buy the flex kit, I bough components instead.
Here is what I have so far:
RE1300 front coil springs
RE1463 rear leaf springs
RE15151 rear brake line extension
PRO Comp 50050 ubolt kit for 8.25 Chrysler rear end
RE3715 adj lower control arms
Bilstein 5100 series 3.5 ext shocks front and rear set
RE1660 extreme duty track bar
RXT200b steering stabilizer
RE 4 degree rear spring shims
RE1380 Bump stop
RE1140 gen 2 sway bar disconnect
My questions are will I need the SYE kit and double cardon shaft, or can I get away with the shims for the rear leaf springs and just add the 1 inch transfer case drop kit?
I also understand that the rear sway bar is no longer needed!
I plan on installing everything the weekend!
Would appreciate any input to those who have installed a similar kit to this on their XJ.

I'd wait on the sye and driveshaft or the t-case drop. You may be ok. It's different for every vehicle. SYE would be ideal if you turn out to need it.
Personally I'd pass on the steering stabilizer. You could likely use your original unless it is shot or you could just find a cheaper alternative.

My DD/camping paper build consists of components to net me ~3.5"-4" of lift.
I'm on the fence between 31x10.5 vs. 33x10.5.
Can anyone weigh in on vehicle handling (cornering, hwy driving) and performance (power,mpg), assuming all else is equal?

how u guys think of retread treadwright tires because they offer 31 in tires for $99 with 20 shipping for the whole set of 4

yea I was looking at some general grabber at2 for 136 a piece plus 100 shipping very pricey then one of my jeep friends refered me to treadwright site and looked decent but idk how they will hold up since they are old bald tires refurbished the 31in wardens they have are 99 a piece

As for the general grabber at2s they are one hell of an all terrain. I loved mine! Amazing in snow and rain. And for an all terrain they do good in the mud.

Help in I.D.ing these springs
I bought a used add-a-leaf lift for my Cherokee. The previous owner also bought them 2nd hand but never got around to installing them before his XJ got in an accident. He did not know what brand and the only info I have is a worn sticker with the barcode and partial part number. Does anyone have any idea or has seen the same sticker on their add-a-leaf lift?
Here is a photo. The only part number I can make out is 1540D and those are then end of the number.
