Alright thanks, we'll see how it turns out, I'll probably end up doing it in a couple weeks.

If anyone has any other pics of a similar setup I'd still be interested in seeing them!

They can add 5/8" of lift, but there are many options now that do not provide any lift(usually call Low Profile).

They are used in addition to a lift.
so the purpose of them is to change the angle of the flexing??

The angle of the shackle that attaches to the leaf springs. The shackle should be at a 45 degree angle for maximum flex and good ride quality.

These allow you to adjust that angle.

I have a 3.5 in. RE lift in my xj. I bought it with that. Is there any cheap way to get it to 4.5 ?

1" spacer in front and 1" extended shackle in back. But at that high you have to start worrying about vibes.

I know I ask a lot of lift questions on here but I was wondering which kit you reccommend. Its between the 4 in IRO AAL or the Zone 4.5 AAL. I know you guys hate AAL but it will just be for a year or two until I save enough money to get full leaves. I also can't tell if the IRO kit comes with LCAs.

I know you guys praise them, I just wanna see my options. They both run around $500ish, and could I clear 32s on a 4in lift without trimming or would I be best off running 31s? Any imput would be great, thanks!

Coil spacers are less than $50. And shackles are maybe $75.

Everything else should work fine.

Do you already have an SYE ?

If you go to 4.5" don't half *** it. Go with new coils (100 for the pair) do a 1" shackle on the 3.5" spring. Double shear trackbar , Sye. New shocks. Bilstein , fox or something decent , mid arms or longarms.
