Building my first lift... :)
I am looking at getting the Rubicon 3.5 superflex lift kit with full leaf replacements.. This is my first Jeep and is going to be my first suspension lift... Are there any con's that I will be facing with this kit? Also is this able to be combined with the RE budget boost system?
I am also looking at either the matching Rubicon shocks or Skyjacker shocks (opinions of the 7000 vs 8000??)
What else will I need to look into with this set up? I have browsed through a ton of posts and have seen mixed opinions from every end on everything :/
I will be doing 31/10.5/15 BFG AT tires with the lift. Do I need a steering stabilizer upgrade? if so, what's the best recommended one?
Also, anything that I would be advised to know or helpful would be great!
it is a 2000 XJ with a 242 T-Case, Dana 35 rear and Dana 30 front...
Thanks in advance!!

I don't have any rust so for me it's not an issue. They can be helpful in the rear though, then you never have to deal with the bolts going in the unibody again. Up front I've never had a problem with bar pins, only problem I had was that the bushing wore out and the shock smacked the axle when it cycled.

Sounds like driveline noise. The angle shouldn't be a problem for it. U joints good?

For me the old rubber bushing flexed enough, I suppose it will wear the rubber out quicker but it will probably outlast the shock anyways. Wouldn't work if you had neoprene bushings I guess.

I had rustys 3.5" leaf packs and white body shocks. I believe the shock binding in the "bpe" was my limiting factor.

Doing some research on extended brake lines, in doing so I found this list.
Anyone have experience using the ram lines instead of c1500? I'm going to be running 6.5"-7" of lift with long arms so I will need plenty of extra length for flex. As c1500 lines are only shown as being about 5" longer than stock.
Another thing was the banjo fitting on the ram lines was listed as 10mm where stock for xj is listed as .375" (10mm = .393") this is likely to cause problems. I'd rather buy extra long hoses instead of bending the metal line for a few extra inches, I just have to find something. Any suggestions are welcomed, I'd rather not spend $150 on "extended" brake hoses though.
95 GMC c1500 2wd lines - 15$ each ( 4-5 inches longer )

Right - Napa PN #38621

Dodge Dakota +6" rear lines (soft line and E-brake)
GMC/Chevrolet C1500 +6" front lines
