I am looking to get a 3" RC lift, I want to stay low and run 33" tires. I would like to go with a 3.5" RE but the cost is just a little too high for me. Now this is my DD with a little light wheeling but my suspension is finished right now so RC it looks like it has to be. Anyways my question is this...

How bad is it going to look with a 3" lift with 235/70R15s? I think that is just under 29" tires.

I am hoping to get some tires this summer but since the ones I have are almost new I want to use them up before getting new one.

If your fenders aren't trimmed, it'll look fine. You will have to trim for 33's and 3" though.

Im gonna push it back in, Drop the shocks, and break the c clamps on the leafs. they should decompress enough for me to get my AAL in there?

Yes. You just have to jack the back of the Jeep way up in the air. I use an engine hoist to the hitch.

The axle is out?

Cut it off and replace it. You need to replace it anyway. The kit should have some with new ones.

Ok now i tried to be patient with it, I tried doing it the right way, but I cant drop the shocks, the damn things wont come loose, and I don't have any room to get in there and get torque on them, so I give up, done, it can sit on jack stands, i've lost all faith in jeeps

what do you mean no room? The top bolts? Are you replacing the shocks too?

Just take a breather and come back, sounds like you're getting frustrated.

I'll give you 150 bucks for it.

Better bite. My offers are going down.

Remove the bottom of the shocks. Far easier.

Snap the top bolts off, punch the weld nuts out and replace with regular bolts.

Then move to a different state that isn't eat up with rust.

I dont know where the top bolts are so, i tried to feed em out from the bottem, and i have no room to work up there, no way to torque em out, I thought the back was the easiest, this is just rediculous,

You don't know where the top bolts are? The bolts holding the top of the shock in place. Take the rear sway bar off and throw it away. It's in your way.

Get the Jeep higher off the ground...
Spend the extra effort you're using to work in tough conditions to make the conditions better.

X2 if you can get a pipe on the socket and have a buddy hold a wrench on the nut then crank on it. Try lots of penetrating oil too.

I got them out, damn things broke, all but one, so I gota drill and tap new holes, and put studs up through the floor.

On the good news, the rear is back in place and the damn AAL is in took a few people, the thing was a *****,

I used vise grips on the upper.bolts. stick them as far down as you can and loosen the nut until you hit them, then put them on top of the bolt
