So I took the XJ for an alignment after I put on the lift and the shop can't seem to get the steering wheel straight and the say all the adjustment is out of it. Anyone else had problems with this? XJ sits on a 6.5 RC lift and the steering wheel sits about 70degrees to the right.

 

i dont know for sure because ive never taken the steering wheel off a jeep but on other cars you can take the wheel off and rotate it and put it back on. might be worth a shot besides you dont want the sleeve maxed out it will be weaker.

 

do you have an adjustable track bar? they should be able to center it if they know what they are doing

 

Yes it has the track bar that came with the kit. It's set at specs according to RC.

 

hop under the rig and see how much thread on the tire rod thats bolted to the pitman arm is inside the sleeve, better yet take a picture?

 

take that, loosen the two bolts, twist till the wheel centers itself.

 

I have a feeling the monkeys at the alignment shop couldnt figure that out lol

it doesnt take that much adjustment to center it either
